Damiens

The Chroma Group presented the performance Damiens / Foucault Chimonas, on the 24th of February at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.

The play discusses the historical course of punishment, from the physical torture chambers used as a method of punishing criminals in the middle ages to the modern methods of punishment used either directly or indirectly by society  even in its simplest form within families, turning designated areas, such as  home, school or hospital into  potential prisons. What happens, however, when these attempts to reform and control threaten our very souls?
